Wedding Pics
Cydil-this one was at my request from all of the ones I've seen you take :)
How cute is he!? And I'm not talkin' about Will!

There were around 400 people at the wedding.

Will watching Casey come down the aisle. Of course he had never seen her dress.

This pictures is priceless, I'm sure it will be found in a frame in my house! They were dancing to Tim McGraw's My Little Girl.
Sorry these pics are so small. You can go to Courtney's website at www.heltonphotovideo.com/blog and click on Mr. and Mrs. Davis and see all these pics and click on them to enlarge and see the full picture. This is only a taste of the ones to come, I cannot wait to see them all. Courtney does a wonderful job and I cannot wait for her to take our family pics and to get her back out here on the farm to take some more horseback riding pics.Casey and Will came home from their honeymoon last night and when we got home and horses fed we spent a few hours with them. Hudson had a big time playing with his Aunt Casey. We (me, Jason, Meemaw, and Hudson) went Saturday afternoon to Nashville and watched an illustrative sermon that was very good. Hudson got to go and see Larry and Bob at Clarksville Lifeway yesterday also. He LOVED Bob the most and then the Chick-fil-a cow. He walked right of to Bob waving and saying, "Hey Bob!" He gave him a big hug and high five.
Two short stories...
The other day me and Meemaw took Hudson to the park in P.V. and there was the cutest little girl who had just turned 4 and she wanted to play with Hudson so badly. She kept telling him, "Watch this". Of course I don't think he had a clue what he was saying but he proceeded to tell us every other minute for the rest of the afternoon to "Wach dis"!
We were driving home from Meemaws the other night and he was sitting in my lap (nobody panic she only lives about 200 yards down the driveway). He pointed to the moon and told me to "Turn lights out!"

Gettin' our Hair Did :)
I love Friday's because me and Hudson get to hang out all day and I don't have any lessons in the afternoon. I already have my horses in for training worked for today and we've ran errands, went to the park, and now he's sleeping and I'm not far from it. We have some fun stuff planned for tomorrow and I'm going to try and be a good mom and take my camera with me, I haven't been doing a very good job lately.
A few Random thoughts:
Hudson is making sentences now with 5 or 6 words.
He's also into tickling us. What's funny is when he raises his arm up and tickles himself.
At the mill the other day Mrs. Pam gave Hudson a Tractor House magazine that he can't get enough of. Everytime we get in the car he asks for it and then he flipps through it like he's really reading it and says whatever piece of equipment he's looking at-hilarious!
I cannot believe he'll be 2 next Friday. We are hopefully going to go next Friday and let him see some airplanes. Tractors are his absolute favorite but now he's getting into firetrucks and airplanes. A friend of mine's husband flies planes and they live at a little private airstrip. I'm sure Hudson is going to love it!
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Oldies but Goodies

The pictures above are from where we went swimming at Grandmom's house the week in June I was on vacation. The one below is of the Carney grandkids at Robert's birthday party a few months ago.
My aunt and uncle head back home for TX tomorrow morning and we've spent the past few nights hanging out with them at Meemaw's house. I hate to see them go, Hudson has really enjoyed playing with my Uncle David, he must like him so much because he reminds him of Hoss. I hope they get to come home for Christmas this year.I think I'm exhausted from such a busy weekend. Hudson must have been, too because he has taken long naps the past few days.
He gets another hair cut tomorrow, it grows so fast and I won't let them cut it too short because I love his curls. At Meemaw's house last night we were sucking it up in the vacuum hose and it would make one monstrous curl and we would just laugh. He looked like a miniature Elvis.
He's making sentences using 5 or 6 words. He counts everything to 3 so now we are working on learning 4 and 5. He's my little sponge. I cannot believe in less than 2 weeks he'll be turning two. I think I may shed a tear or two, is that crazy??
This weekend we are going to take him to Clarksville Lifeway because Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales will be there and they are his favorite. Jason insisted we go! I can't wait to see a gigantic tomato and cucumber ;) J/J, I'm sure it will be fun!

Most Beautiful Bride EVER!
It doesn't get any more beautiful than this!
Will and all the bridesmaids. Bottom left is one of Casey's best friends, Jada (she is who hooked Casey and Will up), above her is Tracy our cousin, above her is Terrin, beside her is Lesli, then Tracy's daughter Ashlee, then of course me and below me is Myranda who played ball with Casey at Trevecca.
Meemaw
Dad kissin' his baby, you know he wore those glasses for a reason!
The little star!
I was doing the airplane to make Casey laugh, something I used to do at home that gets her going.

Thanks Lesli for letting me take these pics off of facebook. I was not a very good photographer this weekend, okay, I was horrible and did not take a single picture. But Courtney, the photographer, will give us a disk and I will have hundreds of pictures. The wedding was so great and went so smoothly. Casey was stunning and Will so handsome and of course the maitron of honor was quite something ;) Hudson stole the show at first. That boy has been around me too much! He had his tux on with his black cowboy hat, of course, to match Hoss. He started about behind the 2 flower girls and after he passed about 4 pews he made his way around them and ran down the aisle. I sat him up on the stage beside me and while Bro. Terry was praying he proceeded to say, "Weeull, Weeull (Will)" while dad and I were both shushing him. Then he got down and ran to climb on the first pew and Dad got his and he was holding his arms out saying, "Mama" and then a few times he said "Ashlee". Then at the reception those little legs didn't stop. He loved the dance floor until about 9:30 then he wanted me to hold him and the people he'll normally hang out with just wouldn't cut it, he had to have his Mama. But he didn't wind down until close to 11:00. Let's just say he and I both enjoyed his 2.5 hour nap today!
Casey and Will are honeymooning in Fl. at Rosemary Beach. I miss her already. I know she'll be home this coming weekend but then she leaves for Chattanooge and I don't even want to think about that.
I'll post more about the wedding this week. Now that my computer is fixed I will update more often and add more pictures so come back more often this week!

A year ago today...
Let me back up a few weeks. On July 1, 2008 I was sleeping and it was a little after 7:00 a.m. when my cell phone rang then my home phone, then my cell phone, after about 3 calls I figured I could see who it was. Afterall, this person must not know that I am NOT a morning person and I don't begin to function until after the clock turns to 8:00. Eyes half open I looked at who called and didn't recognize the number. But when my cell phone rang again and it was the same # it hit me that it was our social worker, Chris. I had e-mailed her a note to call me because I had a few questions about some paperwork and I figured that is what she was calling about. So here's how it went, "Hey Chris, I just had a few questions about our paperwork, nothing too important." She said something like, "Well, I have a question for you...There are only 2 families ahead of you guys and this morning we received 3 referrals, are you interested in a little boy?" I don't remember what I said at that point because there were tears and so much joy and then LOTS of phone calls. At this point we didn't have any information out there except that there was a little boy in Moscow and 2 other families, one was going to be referred a boy and the other a girl.
About a month and a half before this Jason and I had started feeling really unsettled with the other country we had originally started our adoption with. I immediately wanted to switch countries to Russia. Jason said no, that we were going to pray about it and make sure it was God calling us to switch countries and not us being impatient. So after about a month God gave Jason the okay and Jason told me to go ahead. In God's perfect timing, our agency had just started the Moscow program (the other adoptions went to St. Petersburg and other regions in Russia but not Moscow). There weren't too many families that were signed up for it yet, would we want to do the Moscow program and of course, you know, we did. Had we signed up when I wanted to then we would have been in another region in Russia and on a long list. So we went to our agency and changed all of our paperwork over in about one day. Isn't God's timing so perfect. I'm so thankful for a man that is patient and listening for the Lord!
So remember, we had just filled our paperwork out a few weeks prior and it had to be translated and mailed over. There were a few more things that we needed to fill out and that of course had to be translated and mailed over, too. So we knew we would be receiving our referral info. as soon as they had our info. in Russia. Those next 3 weeks were long and I tried to keep myself busy so they would not inch by. I was in for lunch on the 22nd and checking my e-mail when I got "THE CALL". Chris said, he's so beautiful and told me what the paperwork said and then I refreshed my computer several times waiting on his pictures and info. Boy, were those butterflies fluttering in my stomach! Finally after what seemed like years, there he was, Hudson Luke Carney and his chubby cheeks and big brown eyes. I ran around the house screaming and jumping up and down, fell on my face in awe of my God, what a moment! I called Jason and he was at the lawn mower shop getting a mower fixed and if you know us, then this conversation will not suprise you. Me, "Jason, you have to see him, he's adorable!" Jason, "I am at the mower shop I don't know how." Me, "Do they have a computer there?" Jason, "Yes, the lady at the desk has a computer but I don't know her and I can't take over her computer." Me, "Oh, yes you can, now get over there and tell her you have to see your son for the first time." And he did (again, good man, he listened to his wife:) So the first time Jason saw Hudson was at the lawn mower shop with a receptionist over his shoulder saying, "aaawwww"! I remember Jason making me repeat how old he was, 11 months, which is very young for a Russian adoption. And all Jason had prayed for for 2 years was, "Lord, let him be young and healthy!" And he was.
I'm going to stop now because I'm getting a little teary eyed thinking about this little boy and where are we are a year later. How special he is and how much joy he brings to our lives. How I am crazy about him and I love getting random hugs from him especially in the morning when he wakes up. How sweet he is and his cute little country voice when he says, "Hey Mama" when I walk into the room. How this morning when we were coming home from the barn he was sitting right next to me with a tractor in each hand bobbing his head to some Tenth Avenue North (my child's got rhythm!). Oh, my heart, it just praises You, Jesus, I love You so much!

No pics :(
I have pics to post from when we went swimming at Jason's parents during my week off but my computer is not letting me open certain things up. Not sure why it's doing this so I'm sure I'll have to get it fixed because I can't upload pics or click on things in my bank statement or follow links.
But, we went and ate Japanese food last night with some of my girls and I wasn't sure what Hudson would eat so I took him plenty of food. By the time his soup cooled off he had eaten crackers, bunnies (same as teddy grahams, just organic), and a fruit bar. Then he kept asking me for rice and he ate lots of rice and soup! Sometimes he eats like a horse and other times he doesn't care anything about eating. He wasn't sure what to think about the guy cooking in front of us but when he lit the fire he clinged to me and then after that he held my hand until he got to sit in my lap because he kept asking to.
One of his new favorite things to do is for all of us to line up either in front of the kitchen sink and then yell "Go Mommy", and I take of running to the door. Then "Go Daddy" and then once Dad gets to the door we yell "Go Hudson" and he takes off. We have spent several nights doing this over and over.
He runs everywhere! The only time he walks is if he's holding our hand and we are moving slow or if he has to go somewhere he doesn't want to (potty, chair, bed, etc.) other than that those legs never stop moving. I ran in H.G. Hill today and when I was checking out he was standing beside me running in place. The lady said, "He really has that down pat, doesn't he?" I told her he goes wide open like this all the time unless he's sleeping.
Sheryl brought over Jason's old tractor set and he has been playing with that a lot. These things are old and tiny and I promise you if I step on another one you are going to hear me screaming if you are within a 50 mile radius! HA! It's a cool set and has hay roller, hay, trailers, sprayers, etc. Pretty much any farm equipment. He has taken over the night stand in our room by putting these and his big tractors on it and rolling them all over the place with his sound effects.
Not a day goes by that he doesn't ask to "Ride Hoss' tactir?" "Peas?" And Hoss just can't seem to say no. Wonder why it was so easy for Hoss to tell me no but he can't seem to do it with Hudson?? He asks to use the front end loader to pick up dirt, too. Jason and him put a bunch of sand in my arena the other day and now he wants to pick up dirt and move it. Let's just hope he still feels this way when he gets a little older and is working on the farm! HA! I won't mind if he uses the front in loader to shovel manuer into! :)
He is so much fun and I love and I just don't know what we did before him. He is our form of entertainment that keeps us on our toes and laughing (and yes, sometimes wanting to pull our hair out!).

Quick update
Sorry, no pics to post. We had a rather laid back weekend, which was nice. Yesterday morning we went to some friends house from church and swam in their pool. Hudson really enjoyed himself and I really enjoyed hanging out with the other mom's.
I am in count down mode til Casey's wedding which is on the 25th. A part of me is excited and the other part of me wishes it was still months away. I'm not ready for her to move to Chattanooga. But Hudson is going to look sooo cute in his bow tie and little black vest!
I'll post more later, gotta get to the barn!

Weekend & Mr. Cranky
This week is a camp week, the last one for the summer. I'm sure I'll be exhausted by the time the week is over with especially if my nights are anything like the last few. But camp was fun today and I have some great kids at this young/beginner camp. Three girls accepted Christ as Savior today and it was so exciting. Just to think that the angels were singing and celebrating the decision by those sweet girls sitting on a bucket in the tack room. I want everyone to know my Jesus, He's the best, I love Him so!

Friday already?
Took these 3 pics with my camera phone this week. Hudson is laying on Andy's full sister, Belle, Will's dog.
Skinny dipping at Hoss and Meme's. He is a fish. He no longer wants to be held in the water and swims all over the place.
The weather has been wonderful this past week, I loved it and am hoping it stays like this since I have one more week of camp next week. Hudson has spent time in the pool everyday this past week. Late yesterday afternoon I put his floats on him just incase he fell in since we were sitting on the deck and before I knew it he was going down the steps and took a little swim in his clothes and shoes. He's putting 3-4 words together now. Sometimes he says things and I have no clue what it is, especially when he gets really excited. We are back to working on colors again and so everthing is a color when he says it, "Hoss' blue tactir" "Daddy's white tuck" "Red foeeler (4-wheeler)" We are also working on counting to three. He usually repeats us but hasn't said 1-2-3 on his own yet. But the other day I was at the mininite store in KY and of course tractors were everywhere and he was looking outside and saw a tractor and said, "Blue tactir". I looked up and yes, there was a blue tractor. Then he got excited and said, "Two tactir". And another one had just pulled up. He's like a little sponge, just absorbing everything. I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th. We have a few cookouts planned to go to and I'm hoping Hudson enjoys the fireworks!
