Prayer Needs

I just need to be honest, I'm really struggling. The past 3 weeks have been hard on me, but last week was rough. I spent more time on my face in prayer last week than ever. Each day inches by and each day we hear nothing. I cannot sleep at night. I can't fall asleep and then when I finally do I don't get in a deep sleep. I want so desperately to be with my little boy right now I cannot describe it. They told us we were suposed to travel in August and August will soon be over. Our social worker keeps saying we will hear anyday when we are to travel. We know we are waiting on Adopt a Child which is an agency we will work with when we get over there. They are a mother daughter team, and we are just waiting for them to tell us when to travel. Our first trip is only 4 days and we will sign papers to officially accept him so I don't understand why they don't hurry and get us over there. The phone rings and my first thought is this could be our call but then it isn't. I have every line of his face memorized. I could tell you the video in every detail. I am trying so hard to spend my day praying to God and telling Him all about it. I know He hears me

I call on You, O God, for You will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. -Psalm 17:6

I know His timing is perfect, His will- not mine. So please pray for me. Pray for Hudson, me and Jason, and the mother/daughter team of Adopt a Child that they will hurry and get us our dates.

Pics

These pictures are much easier to see than the ones that I posted when we received his referral.

Above: Jason put these letters up last week and put the night stand together, I love his room!
Below: The stroller we put together last night, then we both wheeled it around the house last night :)

Measurements

On Friday we received Hudson's measurements up until 10 months. I will just post a few...
His birth weight (which is also posted on an earlier post) 6lbs. 2 oz. Length 19.7 in.
6 months old 17.02 lbs 26.4 in.
10 months old 19.2 lbs 28.5 in.
On the growth chart for 10 months old his in the 10th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. We thought he was bigger than this, he looks big on the dvd and pictures. I wish we knew what his measurements are now.

We have also been keeping a close eye on the Russia/Georgia conflict. Our agency sent us an e-mail last week saying that it has not effected any adoptions and hopefully will not. I just read that today they signed a treaty and Russia is supposed to withdrawl troops tomorrow.

Tonight we put his stroller together. Jason hung his name on the wall the other night, it'cute, I'll have to post some pics soon of the new things. I checked the weather in Moscow and it looks like the highs are in the low 70's and the lows are in the 50's. I'm so ready to get over there. Please pray that we can travel soon! I know God is on the throne and in control but this wait is very hard on us emotionally.

Happy Birthday Hudson!

Today is our little boy's 1st birthday. I wish so badly we were there with him. This is so hard not being able to hold him and be with him after we have seen his pictures and heard him on dvd. I'm finding some comfort today as I remind myself that next year on this day he will be home and we will celebrate his birthday as a family.

Please pray for us as we wait!!

We still haven't heard when we are to be over there, but I'm hoping we hear something very soon. The Russian coordinator, Judy (who I've never met but I lover her, she always responds to our questions quickly!), was on vacation last week. So I'm hoping she gets to work tomorrow and checks her e-mail and there is one telling us when we need to be over there. We are packed and ready! Two suitcases are to go to the orphanage and then we have a small bag for our clothes.

We went today and registered at Target and Wal-Mart. It was so much fun!! Although Wal-mart didn't have the selection that I thought they would. Target has some really cute things. I hope to get his measurements soon so that we know what size he is. I bought a 12 month and 18 month outfit to take over to see what size he fits, I'm thinking it will be 18 months he looks big!

Major Praise item...We are going to be staying with a host family who are from the US and work at the Embassy in Moscow. This is so great, it is saving us around $1200 (cost per night for hotel in Moscow is around $350 per night). Moscow is the most expensive city in the world to stay in. What great people they must be, I cannot wait to meet them!

God is so good and Jason and I want to give Him all the glory and praise for this journey. His love endures forever! We are honored to be able to adopt and are so thankful for this gift from God, our little boy! What a privilage to be a parent. Thank you so much Lord! I cannot wait to see Hudson get excited when I tell him that Daddy is almost home, hear him say his first words, see his chubby little cheeks light up when he giggles, and make countless memories. It is true that once you see their face the days seem to take forever, I want to hold him in my arms NOW!

Hudson turns 1 year old this Thursday, August 7th. I looked at my planner to see what I was doing the day he was born, looks like it was a normal day of teaching lessons and riding horses.
