December Fun

 Hollynn and I had our first pedicures, it was girls day and we had a lot of fun!  I hope to make doing stuff like this a tradition of ours. 

 Pinterest idea, making Christmas trees out of sugar cones, icing, and candy!  The LOVED it!

 Notice Hollynn has green and Hudson the red.  Hollynn seems to be allergic to red food coloring, it has not been a pretty site when she has it!

 I was vacuuming one day and didn't hear anything, never a good sign, I found Hollynn with a green sharpie and Heath proudly wearing his new tats! 

We are free will baptists however we do enjoy dancing quite often :)

Hollynn's Birthday Party

 These 2 are from her actual birthday.  They get to choose what they want for supper and she requested blueberry pancakes.  I love how she is blowing her candles out while holding on to the bacon! HA!

 Aunt Casey made her dog cake, which is also what she wanted.  She LOVES any animal especially dogs and cats.

 I realize how bad of a mom I am becoming, or maybe I should say, I realize just how busy I am.  These are the only decent pics I took at her party.  I think last year I had 3x's this and before she came along, Hudson I'm sure had at least 100 at his parties.  I have got to get my camera out more!!

I'm obviously really behind.  My camera battery died and we had no clue where the charger was so I had to order a new one.  So, yes, I am posting Halloween pics in Dec.!

I almost feel like I can take a deep breath again!  This weekend is my last weekend to haul a horse until next spring.  It is a trail ride at Percy Werner so it will be relaxing hopefully!  I love showing, seriously, I think I get just as excited and nervous as the girls, but I'm ready for a break.  Which means by spring, I'll be itching to get cranking again!  I am looking forward to only 2 days of work and homeschool this week and me and Hudson are so ready to decorate for Christmas.  He keeps asking me so I think tomorrow we'll break out the tree.  I also plan to make several posts this week since I am so far behind.
Last weekend we were in Murfreesboro and I received one of the worst phone calls of my life.  One of my sweet girls who has been riding with me for years, and was with me at the show, her dad had very unexpectedly passed away.  AWFUL doesn't even begin to describe last week.  This family is so precious, please pray for them.  I cannot imagine the days and road ahead for them, my heart just aches at the thought.   

My Girl...

Last month my baby girl turned 2.  She loved her birthday, and when I get my new battery charger for my camera, I will share some pictures of it.  On their actual birthday, I do what my mom did for us, make them whatever they want.  So for Hollynn's we all ate blueberry pancakes and bacon :)  We had the family over for a party and she loved all of her cute gifts and now when we go somewhere she say, "I want dat for my birfday!" 
I am absolutely nuts over this girl, she bring so much sas and fun into our lives.  I never planned on her but I am sure glad the Lord did!  She has uncontrollable giggles, loves to give me nose kisses, and is tougher than leather, she'll play with her baby dolls so soft and sweet and then have Hudson in a head lock the next minute.  Some days she and I look like two bulls locking horns, but she still loves to curl up in my lap and can only be put to bed by her mama :)  But she's becoming quite the Daddy's girl, and it makes my heart swell, I love it!  Her favorite song to sing is "Jesus loves me" and she loves the story of baby Moses.  She has never seen an animal that she didn't love.  On the growth chart, she has never come below the 92% on height, she measured at 95% 2 weeks ago and her Dr. says she will be quite tall, which goes along with the size 8 shoe she is already wearing!  And right now the girl is ready for some breakfast, so I better get to it, she knows exactly what she wants, when she wants it :)

I'll have to make several posts out of all the pics Melissa Lewis took of us a few weeks ago because there are so many cute ones!  Melissa has been taking our pics for 3 years now and she never disappoints, I always love them!

I enjoy writing updates on us individually every now and then so here goes...(warning, this could get a little lengthy!)

Jason as of last Monday handed over the keys to Carney Lawn Care to Uncle Willie.  Will has been running all the labor part of the business since Jason became a youth pastor last Aug.  Jason has so much on his plate that I think it was time to let this go.  What a blessing it has been to us and I hope it is for Will and Casey for many many years.  Fall seems to bring a season of business in ministry and our fall festival is this weekend so he has been working hard to prepare for it.  The man is constantly on the go and we are having to be very intentional about family time otherwise the week is gone and we all seem to say Hi at night before bed time.  If you have ever thought ministry was easy or a 40 hr. work week, man is that so not true!  But he loves it and I am amazed at what the hand of God has done in Jason Carney, sometimes I just sit back and bask in it!

I am also into a busy season with 5 of the next 7 weekends hauling to horse shows.  My kids are soon to be living out of the truck, but I know 2 of them love it.  Let's hope Heath feels the same way.  I am adjusting to having three.  So far, so good.  The one thing I just can't seem to get a handle on is laundry.  Who knew adding some tiny clothes to the rest would make such a big difference!  I am trying to find balance in making sure I am attentive to each of them.  With homeschooling Hudson, which I still love, I know if gives us one on one time and is a great way for me to be an encourager to him.  Hollynn demands attention, enough said!  And Heath seems to just roll with everything.  But I still struggle with, did I pay them all enough attention?  I am trying to say Yes more and No less, as in, when Hollynn comes in and has picked out her clothes and they are striped blue shorts and a pink flower shirt.  My insides cry NOOOOO that doesn't match but I smile and say "sure" because, is it a big deal that she doesn't match?  I think adding an extra one in the mix has relaxed me a little ;)

Hudson, I love the little man he is.  He has his moments where he needs an attitude adjustment, don't get me wrong, but he is compassionate and deep and I love it.  He is hoping to play basketball in the peewee league this fall at Sycamore and I am hoping he will as well, just waiting to see when it starts.  I want him to have an extra activity.  He still loves being outdoors more than anything and when we leave the barn we take with us several pounds of sand, most of it in his hair!  He LOVES to read and sits some days and tries to read his books on his own, he does really well.  He has been helping me a lot and is saving the money he earns for an i-pad of his own.  We will hope he has one by the time he is 16 (ha!).  He has always been a mama's boy but here lately he is his daddy's little shadow every chance he gets.  As in, "I need to go work with Dad."  Or the other day we came in and a door wasn't closed but somehow our alarm was still on and I had Jason still go through and check the house and Hudson followed every step because, "I will protect you mom!"  There is no other man I would want him to shadow!

Hollynn is so so sweet and so so sassy.  She doesn't hide anything.  If Hudson has made her mad, she might just knock him out and she doesn't care if you see her or not.  She's blunt.  Am I writing about myself?  I will tell her she is going to do something and she will look me dead in the eyes and tell me "no I ain't."  Yes, she says "ain't", uuugghhh!  And then we lock horns, and so far I win.  It seems putting her nose to the wall gets her the most.  She still mothers Heath which I am so glad.  She has not been too jealous but he doesn't get to sit in my lap unless she is there also ;)  The girl NEVER sits still.  While she does have a little girly side to her, (she loves dresses and doing her hair), she is mostly tom boy.  She gets dirty and loves it, and will play dinosaurs with Hudson and recognizes any backhoe we pass.  In all of this, she is so loving and sweet.  She gives the best hugs & lots of them, has great manners and if you forget to say Thank You she will remind you, she has begun saying prayers and they are adorable, she gets excited about everything, and if she does get upset about something she gets over it very quickly and is back to her happy self in about 2 seconds.  At 23 months she can carry on a conversation very well, she talks non stop!  I can't believe she is almost 2!

Heath is coming out of his shell and it is so cool to watch.  He crawls all over me if I am sitting.  I CANNOT sit without him being right there on top of me.  But if I am busy doing something he is content to go play.  He LOVES to eat.  He loves to dance.  And he has not had any night terrors in 5 nights.  Matter of fact, he is napping now and I heard something and went in his room and he was singing in his sleep!  He babbles and squeals and seems to be adding new words daily.  Just today he said "Hoss", which we will add to his list of words.  He will reach his arms up for anyone if he is in the floor, which bothers me, but I have been diligent with no one holding him but me and Jason, just gonna keep at it.  He does however prefer his mama :)  When I come home and he has been here with Jason, he lights up and hustles to me.  Just in the last few days he has started to walk more than he crawls.  I am ready for him to be running, I love that stage, it's so fun!  If he gets upset he will lay himself in the floor and cry, we have seen a bit of an attitude.  Neither of my other two have been fit throwers so I have been ignoring this behavior when it happens in hope that he will realize he does not get any attention for it.  Thankfully this doesn't happen very often and I hope it will go away all together.  He is such a hugger.  He will crawl up on me and throw his arms around my neck and squeeze.  He laughs and smiles constantly and I could listen to him giggle all day!  It seems the barn is his favorite place.  He loves Hudson's play area and gets up on all the toys.  He squeals when we head for the 4 wheeler.  I have been able to work just fine with him at the barn which is so great!
