Weekend

"Whoah Mom, that flash is bright!"

I tell him give me a nose kiss and this is what I get, I guess I should say eskimo kiss!
We had a nice, laid back weekend. Had to ride a few horses Saturday morning and got bills done during nap time then all afternoon we had some good family time together. We spent a few hours at our friends Gyle and Shelly's pool. My son is a fish and he went down the slide from the very top, of course Jason caught him at the bottom. He loved it! We all had a great time. Then we went to eat at the Village Cafe and had a quiet night playing at home. Today was a normal Sunday, church, lunch/nap, church, eating at Hoss and Meme's. Someone left the freezer open at their house so mom cooked all day and dad grilled a bunch of meat so we are stuffed!
Hudson is doing really well putting words together. Tonight he was so cute, after he gave Meme a kiss he said, "good sugar". He also tells EVERYTHING bye. When we leave he says "bye tractor, bye book, bye chair, etc." He even tells stuff bye when he's walking through the room to go potty.
His favorite things are still tractors and bulltractors (bull doziers). We are going to have a big tractor birthday party. I can't believe his birthday is right around the corner, he'll be 2 on August 7th. I also can't believe Aunt Casey and Uncle Will are getting married in less than a month! Can't wait for some cute family pics of us all dressed up. Hudson has a cute little suit I bought at Dillards and Jason will be in his tux and me in my apple dress! But I can wait for Casey to move to Chattanooga. Not sure what I'm going to do without her here and what Jason's going to do without Willard. They've grown close. I guess we'll just burn up the interstate between here and Chattanooga, I'm sure Hudson won't mind going to the aquarium a few times!

New Kitchen!

If you had seen my kitchen before you know this is TOTALLY different. I love it. While looking at the pictures you should know our house is only 1,000 sq. ft. and our kitchen is small, but I have much more room now than I did before. I have really enjoyed cooking again this week!
We had a very laid back day at the house. We got a phone call from our social worker and she needed to come and do our 6 month post placement visit. It was a short notice but a good visit.
Hudson's new favorite food is blueberries, he ate lots of them today. And he is loving watermelon.
Looking forward to hopefully a laid back weekend before I start back to work on Monday.

Fun Week!

It doesn't get much cuter than Daddy's carhart hat and a diaper!

This is his favorite thing to do right now...play on our bed!

We have had a wonderful week so far. We went swimming yesterday at Grandmom and Grandad's. Today we went to Monkey Joe's for a little while and Panera (I love Panera and Hudson loves their soup!). We originally made the trip to Rivergate to get Hudson a social security # but the place was packed and the wait was forever so they got me the paperwork and one of us are going to go and get the # when Hudson is not with us since the wait is always long.
Hudson is growing so fast and he's getting a little belly on him (he weighs 30 lbs.), not a big one but hopefully one that will keep his pants up! He loves going swimming and I can't wait to get him to Florida later in the summer. Yesterday he called himself Hudson instead of Mommy, kinda makes me sad. His Aunt Casey taught him where his butt is and yesterday we were getting ready to head to the pool and he walked up behind me, poked me, and announced very loudly "BBBUUUTTT"! Now let's just hope he doesn't do that in public!
I would tupe more but there's a monkey in my lap that won't be still. He's currently bouncing up and down while squeezing my nose. I'll update again tomorrow with pics of the kitchen!

Zoo

Couldn't decide which of these I liked best so I decided to post them both.

Jordin, Emma, and Hudson-what a ladies man ;)
"Wait for me girls!"

"Oohh, elephants"

I wouldn't have minded having a drink of that water yesterday, too, it was hot!

Weekend

"Yes, I am Wesley Attebery's grandson, how did you know that?" HA! ;)

We had a nice weekend. Shopped a little on Saturday with Meemaw and thought I had everything I needed for the kitchen until I got home and one of the canisters was broken. Then after nap was a couples shower for Will and Casey. Hudson enjoyed the pool and a few bottles of water! Jason is the best in the whole world, he spent Saturday in the hay field picking up horse hay.
Sunday was Jason's first Father's Day. I was planning on waking up early to fix him breakfast and my alarm clock is my ipod and I didn't have it set on a song so I woke up over an hour late. I grabbed Hudson who was playing in his crib, we hustled to the barn and I literally ran and fed the horses (over 20 horses fed in 10 min.). Got back home and made Jason and Hudson pancakes, bacon, and eggs. Hudson LOVED the bacon. We made it to Sunday School only 15 min. late! Jason got his old favorite movie about Pistol Pete the basketball player, then we got him a book, and lots of candy/peanuts. Men are just so hard to buy for! Then after church last night I cooked (woohoo, I cooked!) and Granny, Meemaw, Will, Casey, and Dad came up to eat a little Father's Day dinner. Gonna go out with Grandad and Grandmom one day this week for Father's Day. Whew...all these dad's, but they're all the best! Jason, especially, so thankful for him. I love seeing Hudson adore him. He asks about him a lot during the day and loves when he is home to play with him. Hudson and I couldn't ask for a better man! Yesterday Hudson picked up his play phone and said, "Daddy, Mommy, love you!" Then he threw it on the couch! Sweet while it lasted :)
Today we went to the zoo. I'll post pics tomorrow!

AAAHHH Friday!

My third week in a row of camp is over and after this afternoon I will have a week off! I'm counting down! I have one lesson this afternoon and then a couple coming to look at our barn for lessons and then it's down time (yeah right!). I will still have to ride training horses next week but will do it whenever I want during the day :)

I cannot wait to just spend time with my little man, I feel like these past 3 weeks has been hard on him, too. I haven't been spending the time with him that I normally do and I really miss it. We have lots planned...swimming, zoo, monkey joes, swimming, napping, park, more swimming, just whatever we want to do! NO SCHEDULE!

The kitchen is pretty much finished, have to touch up a few spots where they bumped the walls while putting the cabinets in and also have to finish washing all the dishes (the cabinets set outside for over a month, of course under a tarp, but still want to wash everything that was in them). Still have to move a few other things in and buy a few small things, which that should be done in the morning! So excited! I'll take pics and post them. I'll also be sure to have the camera with me lots next week so that I can post new pics. Sorry I haven't been good at taking pics these past few weeks!

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

John Deere Man

Aren't these cute! He was getting ready for me to tickle him!! These are some more pics that Courtney took about a month ago when she was out taking pics of some of my students.
We had another busy weekend. Saturday Jason spent all day working on the kitchen. We now have our new cabinets in, my dishwasher is working, but the water to the sink is not hooked up yet. The new fridge is in but I haven't put all of the food in it because I have to paint the trim and that will require moving it so I want to get the trim painted before I put everything in. Jason didn't have the trim put up when Hannah painted so if I don't get that painted this week I'll have plenty of time next week to get it finished. But pretty much I am really hoping for a completely finished kitchen so I can cook all next week on my week off! I FINALLY got my hair cut, colored, and eyebrows waxed on Sat. morning! It was awesome!!! I know I'm not a girly girl but I like my eyebrows waxed and since becoming a mom they have only been waxed 3 times!! My roots were in horrible condition and I was waaayyy past due! After nap time me and Meemaw went shopping and I got new curtains and rugs for the kitchen. Then to one of my little cousins birthday parties.
Sunday was even busier. I was up at 6:00 that morning to head to a horse show. I took 4 girls to a 3-in-1. They showed in dressage, cross country jumping, and show jumping. They were AWESOME! At then end of the day their scores for all 3 are averaged together and we came out...Age 12 and under Miranda was 2nd place and Bonnie was 3rd place. In 13-18 Malena was first place and Jordan was 4th place. I could not have been more proud. It was every girls first jumping show and every horses first jumping show! Lots of fun, but exhausting, and I'm sunburnt! Hudson spent the day with Dad and I miss him horribly when I'm not with him.
Today started trail riding camp and we rode for 10 miles and even my legs were hurting when we were done! This morning I received a horrible phone call that Cotton passed away yesterday. Many of you know Cotton by name because he was the sweetest horse and a definite barn favorite. He is the horse in the cutest pics I've ever taken of Hudson, I received so many comments on Cotton and Hudson pics. I am so sad about this. I was looking forward to going next week and hopefully showing him at the world show. He was definitely a special horse and I'm so sorry for Mr. Danny and Mrs. Kaye, losing a horse is a horrible heartache.

Casey's Wedding Shower

Mom, Casey, and future lucky mother-in-law, Mrs. Gayle!

I was telling Granny, "Act like you love her!"

Thanks to Grandmom I am picking these apple stickers off of everything :)

OOOHHHH, Mom, Stickers!

Oh, yeah, Meemaw, I caught you with the bow on your head!!

He likes his women young!! He kept kissing Gina's baby over and over until I had to make him stop.
My beautiful cousin, Ashlee, who also babysit's Hudson twice per week at the barn with me.

Casey and Will were given LOTS of beautiful gifts at the shower last Saturday. I have the best Aunt's who helped with EVERYTHING and yes, my cousins are alright, too :)

I have a few cute stories...Meemaw, who is absolutely adored by Hudson, has a poodle named Max. She is constantly yelling in a high pitched voice "MMMMAAAXXXXX". Hudson has heard her do this way too many times. And at any moment during the day is he liable to yell out in a high pitched voice, "MMMMMMAAAXXXXX"! It's hilarious.

Several weeks ago I was in Dillards and the sales lady was being so sweet, she kept going on and on about how cute Hudson is. I guess she got really comfortable with me because after a little while she said, "You know, my husband is Hispanic, too!" I started laughing and I said, "well, mine's not". Then I explained to her that Hudson's roots are from Tajikistan.

Last story...When I went to have some stuff certified a few months ago in Clarksville I was talking to the lady who was helping me and she asked how old Hudson was. I told her 20 months and she said, "He is very tall for his age." I said, "Yes, he's always been tall for his age." She said, "Is his Dad tall?" And I said, "I don't know!" The lady didn't know what to say. I didn't torture her too long before I told her he was adopted.

I have a feeling these aren't the last of the stories I'll have for you!!

Pics

On Monday we spent the entire day outside and I didn't put sunscreen on myself (yes, Hudson had it on). He wanted me to hold him a lot that day and I guess he kept his hand in the same spot because you can see his hand print above in my sunburn!
Playing with Isaac. They were really enjoying chasing each other around!

I have finally put pics on the computer and the next few days should be a little more relaxing so I hope to put a few different posts up of some cute pics. English camp was this week and it was a 3 day camp but a llllooooonnnnggg 3 days! We had a blast going to Dr. Rojas and jumping his cross country and stadium jumping courses for 2 of those days. Hudson did so great as I moved him from field to field under the run in sheds. I packed a back pack full of trucks and tractors and Dr. Rojas had plenty of dirt and rocks so play with so he was in his own world.
Tomorrow we are sleeping in (at least 8:00, that's turned into sleeping in for me, never dreamed I would say that!). Then we are off to Lowe's to buy a counter top and sink because the kitchen is completely painted (walls, ceilings, and cabinets) thanks to Hannah S.! Should be starting to put things back into place and I am sooo excited! We do have to get a new refridgerator, too. Our old one is leaking and I'm afraid could go out at any minute. I just don't want all that water on my new floor everyday! But I never dreamed a little project could turn into such a long ordeal or this big of a money pit! Some of you are probably laughing under your breath at me at this point, I know, I am naive.
Next week is trail camp and then the next week I am taking off from lessons so I will have to ride training horses but my afternoons will be free. I am so excited about being able to spend LOTS of Hudson/Momma time. We are going to the zoo with some friends one day, and then spending time at the park, pool, maybe Monkey Joe's, playdate with Emma, who knows, but we're going to have some fun!
