I cannot say thank you enough for all of the encouraging words I've been receiving. I felt like such a dork for putting myself out there and saying I needed lots of positive affirmation right now but it's worked. I'm more confident in labor now than I have been from the day I found out I was pregnant. So for all the e-mails, comments, phone calls, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH, it has really helped!
I am scheduled for next Friday, Oct. 15th at 8:00 a.m. However, if one of the ladies who is scheduled for the 14th goes early, I am first on the list to take her spot. So it will be either next Thurs. or Fri. Which seems so close yet so far away. At this point, I'm just ready to see her!
We've got Hudson very excited about his weekend with Aunt Casey. We are anticipating some anxiety on his part since he's already shown some but now I'm thinking he's going to want me to have a baby every weekend so he can go do fun stuff with Aunt Casey. I guess this is a good time of year since there are several places around here doing the fall festival type stuff and he wants to go to the park, etc. I have a feeling little in shape Casey may be a little worn out after next weekend!
I worked my last day yesterday, for a while. I plan on starting training again in Jan. but will not be teaching lessons until March. The girls are still going to ride until Dec. but they are going to be doing trail rides instead of lessons. I'm sure they will enjoy just relaxing (I'm sure the horses won't complain either :), plus, what a great time of year to do some trail riding!
I have to tell you about the surprise shower at church. I always talk about how awesome Bethel ladies are, well, last Wed. they threw me a shower that I had no clue about. It was awesome, almost made me a little teary eyed! And they have a diapers/wipes basket set up for us in the vestibule. I was so humbled on the way home the other night. We have diapers and wipes running out our ears but I hear we are going to need them and lots of them! This will really help us out, those things are expensive!
Well, I'm back to the Dr. tomorrow with a list of questions! I'll try to do better on updating quicker than I have been.

No Pic but Lots to Tell
Sorry I didn't update last Friday or earlier this week but I was waiting for my appointment today to find out some news. What I did not want to happen has come true, but I've had a week to prepare myself mentally...I have to have a c section. She told me last Friday that my pelvis was not at a good angle and that we may need to discuss other options. Thankfully Jason was at that appointment with me and I managed to hold it all together until I got to the parking lot then I cried all the way home. But we didn't want to share until it was official. After another exam today, she said it's what is best. So we are now just waiting to hear from Baptist to confirm the date and get a time. We are hoping for the 14th but if not it will be the 15th. I had originally thought that Jason's fall break started on the 12th but was wrong, it's the 14th, so this works out better for him. So, as long as I don't go into labor before then, hopefully it will be the 14th. That's also the same day two years ago that I held my first baby for the very first time!
My c section fears are probably crazy to most people, but if you read my last post you know how I feel about any sort of human blood or grossness, it just sends me over the edge into this horribly queezy light headed state. I'm just scared of lying there wide awake knowing they are cutting into me, even though I won't see it. The other thing is the recovery, which is longer and rougher. My family keeps reassuring me, "You're tough." Well, duh! I'm joking of course, but it's not that I don't think I can handle the pain, etc. It's that I don't know how I'm going to handle having to be so careful and all that laying around at first. This pregnancy has just about driven me nuts because I haven't been able to up and do all the things I used to do. I'm a go getter and sitting still is awful on me, this is why I hate to fish! Plus a c section will take me a little longer to get back in the saddle and into exercising.
I talked to a friend that I knew would not be discouraging to me on Wed. night that has had 2 c sections and she made me feel much better. I totally agree with her that I surround myself with positive, encouraging people over these next 13 days. Why are women so into freaking out other women with their labor stories, I have no idea, but I want no part of them when it comes to this. I have already been freaked out enough by some people, which is the main reason I was so worried about labor in the first place. So...I've been trying to think of all the great things from c section...
*She shouldn't have a cone head.
*It's quick. They said once they get me in the operating room she's out in less than 45 min.
*Women have them everyday and do just fine.
*I won't have to worry about any tearing, etc.
*My Meemaw will hang out with me when I get home :) She's the only one I want washing my dirty clothes!
*I'm surrounded by great people who will be more than willing to help me out, now I've got to get my pride out of the way and let them help me out!
*Hudson loves to lay with me and me read him books, so looks like I'll have plenty of time to read to him!
Okay, if you can think of anything else positive for me to focus on, please, leave me a comment. If it's not positive then keep it to yourself! :)

Took this a few weeks ago with my camera. He hopped up in my lap, raised my shirt up, and informed me "I'm playing with my sister" then proceeded to roll his tractors and equipment around my big belly. It was pretty sweet!3 weeks left, aaahhhhh! If only it would hurry up! But last Wed. she dropped down and I can finally eat and breathe! It's great. The heartburn isn't as bad as it was either. I am just glad I can finally walk our mile every afternoon without feelin' so uncomfortable. It's also easier to teach since I spend the whole time teaching up and moving, too. I'm so glad I've been able to keep working. I plan on working as close to delivery as I can, I think I would go crazy if I didn't get out of the house every afternoon and go hang out at the barn. The only down side to her dropping down is I spend even more time heading to the bathroom, I thought this was not possible, but trust me it is!
We had birthing classes last weekend. Jason handled it way way better than I did. I didn't watch any of the 3 videos they showed for fear of being completely grossed out and getting queezy in front of all those people. So I just looked down while they were playing. But the class was very informative and I really enjoyed the instructor. I'm just going to be very clear to my Dr. that I can either not see any part of this and push or I can see something and pass out and not push! My favorite part of the class was when they taught the husbands how to give us full body massages to relax us during labor. Of course we had to lay on our sides so only my right side was done. But that night I told him I felt uneven and needed my left side done ;) of course he knew I was full of it but he did it anyways! The birthing classes took up lots of time over Fri, Sat., and Sun. It's the most time I've ever been away from Hudson. Crazy, I know, but I love my little man and we both enjoy being together. He was fine while I was gone but then had some anxiety for the next week. I could not get out of his sight without him saying, "Mommy don't leave me." Like, I couldn't walk out of the bathroom ahead of him without him starting to panic. One night when we were putting him to bed he started crying telling me not to leave him and I said, "I'm not going to leave you." He said, "Yes, you will go to the hospital." So we tried to explain everything to him and he has seemed much better since. Let's just hope he handles it okay while I'm in the hospital and he has to spend the night away from me. I think Hoss can handle it, well, I hope he can!
I'll try to post an update on Friday, it's my first appointment where they will check me and see if there is any progress towards delivery.

Hollynn's Shower
My cute little helper who ripped into every gift and after listening to me he was pulling things out saying "That's so cute!" My favorite was when he called the tissue paper and some of the breast feeding stuff cute!
My floor is not that big and there's a tent taking up part of it so I had to stack some of the stuff on top of other stuff but trust me, it's all really cute.Wednesday, September 1, 2010
H and H

I took these with my camera phone and forgot to post them. I thought they were cute of Hoss trimming one of my horses hooves and Hudson had to help. Hudson is Mr. Fix it around here. And he's been around Dad long enough he thinks he can build anything. Jason put together some shelves for the me the other day and it was so cute watching H go in his room and get his hammer, drill, etc. out and work with him. I'm sure it took Jason a little longer than he wanted but seeing Hudson so excited about it was worth it. I've less than 6 weeks now before Hollynn makes her debut. Hudson talks about her all the time. I can't wait to see how he acts when he meets her. He's going to be the first person to get to see her (besides Jason and Casey of course, who will be in there). I want to be sure he has his own time with her before everyone else gets to come in. But I wonder how long before the new wears off! I liked Casey for about the first few seconds, then I decided she was awful (I was 3 1/2 when she was born), I was so jelous of the little runt who came along and stole all my attention. Cas., at least you couldn't take Meemaw (Ha!). Jason and I go next weekend and have a breastfeeding class (he's thrilled about this one), and then two consecutive days (4 hrs. per day) of birthing class. I told my Dr. I don't want to watch the video and she said it would probably ease my fears some, HELLO LADY, ARE YOU NUTS?! We'll see. So, if you see me after next weekend and I look completely tramatized, you'll know why. Better yet, if you see Jason in complete shock, you'll know why!

3rd Birthday!
I was trying to be thrify Mrs. Betty Homemaker this year and did the cake myself. Let's just say I will not be going into the cake decorating business! But I guess all that matters is that he loved it (had everything to do with the tractors and nothing to do with my skill:) It was blue on the inside as he requested.

Just making sure no drool landed on the cake!

I love this one because he was grunting to get the package open!
My wonderful consignment find, his bike! He's doing better at it, sometimes he has a hard time pushing the pedals all the way around. I wish we could work on it more, it's been so hot on this big mama, but now the weather is finally in the low 90's so hopefully we can work on riding it more!
This is Andy's full sister, Crazy Belle, but like Andy, she is good with Hudson. Even if he's cutting her up with his new sword.
Hudson enjoyed his birthday party and when he prays he often says "Thank you for my birthday party." And it was several weeks ago :) The big thing we asked the family to do was give money for a swing set. Jason was going to try and build it but I know how that goes. How are you going to build a swing set when you are running a business and starting school amongst many other things that he does. So the timing was good when I got online to look at them and lots of them were on sale so I got one for $100 off regular price. When I saw the total I realized he had $1 left over :) So that worked out well.
It should be here sometime next week and I'll be sure to take pics of Jason and my dad as they attempt to put it together, as long as they pull their own hair out and not each others we'll be okay!
On the pregnancey front, I'm down to 7 weeks left! Woohoo, getting closer! I had a rough go of it last week. I couldn't keep anything in my system (kept 1 meal in over the course of 7 days). I lost 7 lbs. in 6 days, but at least my feet and ankles weren't swollen! Hollynn is okay though, and we still aren't sure what was going on with me. But yesterday was much better and today has been too so far.
One cute little story...Hudson feels my stomach, usually multiple times a day. And I know he had never felt her kick, even though she packs some mean kicks that you can very easily see and can really feel. He's so squirmy and all over the place that he hadn't really felt her but likes to pretend he does. But almost every morning he crawls up in my lap and just lays on me (I love that time with him). The other morning he was laying there, really still and she nailed him twice and they were big. He raised up and those big brown eyes were huge and he said in his suprised voice, "That's my sister!" It was so cute!

Happy 3rd Birthday!
I don't know whether to cry or celebrate, he's getting so big! He's so excited about his birthday party this afternoon. We decided to do family only again this year. Maybe next year we'll have a party with some of his little friends. But our family provides about 30 people, which is plenty when you just got home from vacation! I'm attempting the birthday cakes this year. He wanted a blue cake so one cake is blue and then this morning I was making a 3 layer one as well and he decided on blue, green, and red. Of course there will be tractors on top of it as well as his requested M&M's!All he can think about is his party, all I can think about is that there is no doubt a lady somewhere around the world who knows exactly what this day is as well. Will a birthday come for him that will not make me think of her all day? I don't know, but I know I'm so thankful for her and hope in some way she can celebrate the life that she gave to us, although I'm sure that would be a hard thing to do. If I could tell her about our little 3 year old man I would tell her that...He has endless amount of energy that cracks me up everyday (and sometimes makes me want to pull my hair out :) He is so smart and is doing great on his phonics and basic reading. He loves to build things. Even in a restraunt, when they give him crayons, he builds things instead of colors. He loves to sing and my favorite is when he makes up his own songs. He's rough and loves to wrestle, I wouldn't have it any other way :) He'd rather be outside on the tractor or 4 wheeler than anywhere else! He goes to the creek almost everyday with his Hoss which leaves us a muddy mess for the bathtub! He thinks his daddy hung the moon and they spend lots of nights looking at the moon and stars and talking about Jesus. He's a Mama's boy and melts my heart everyday when I get random kisses and "I love you's" and "Mom, please rub my back!" I'd tell her that by her choosing to give life, she gave us and so many of those around us, great great joy! Our cup definitely runneth over!

Florida 2010 (pool pics)
I'm going to post our Florida trip in two posts, hopefully I will be able to do the post with the beach pics in it and more info. on our trip by Monday. Hudson's birthday is tomorrow and I'm busy preparing for the party, especially since I'm baking the cake this year!
This one and the next one are out of order...

He was a jumping machine at the pool!
This was the pool at the place where we stayed. There is another small section of it behind me but I couldn't get it all in one photo.
Sweet Ellie!
Eating at JC's Off the Hook, which of course Jason loved the name of the place! We ate there twice because we went on Tues. night and then realized Wed. night was all you can eat crab legs so Jason really wanted to go back for that. Jon totally agreed, so the next night we sat and watched them pig out on some crab legs.
