We have been working on Hudson's room, it should be close to being finished in a few weeks. Jason has to put together a dresser and then we have to hang pics and decorate! We got his crib a few weeks ago, it's a 3 in 1 so if he is in a toddler bed this will work, too. The backpack my mom got him, I love it! You know I love to read, so I have already started buying books, I cannot wait to read to him. And of course he has to have some carhart and john deere to match his Daddy! I will put some more pics up as we get things closer to being finished.
Hopefully we will receive our referral in October, pray about it!!

Hello, I haven't posted on the blog in a long time. I was thinking about making a new blog through yahoo b/c my mom and Jason's mom cannot view this blog through their work (they work in the school system and for some reason it blocks it). I'm not sure if I will change it or not since they can pull the blog up at home. Anyways, we were approved by the AAC in March and they told us we could get our referral as soon as August or September but it could be later. I need to take pics of his room. I have painted, we have his bedding, and pics to hang, I am definitely in nesting mode! We are pretty sure on the name Hudson Luke Carney. Jason says that we will for sure decide when we see him!!

I-171H is here
WOOOHOOO our I-171H paper finally came in the mail yesterday. I took everything to our agency today and now our papers will be translated and then we wait! It's so exciting knowing that our paperwork is finished and we will soon be logged into Albania to be adopting parents!! What's cool is how God is working in this adoption. Yesterday I only taught one lesson b/c it's been so cold. The girl I was teaching, her family is waiting to get their little girl from China, so she understands all of this paperwork and waiting. When she came down for her daughters lessons she said that the Lord had put me on her heart so heavy today that she stopped what she was doing to pray for us and the paper we have been waiting on. When Jason checked the mail yesterday there it was! Praise God!

Waiting on Dossier Paper
Our homestudy has been complete as well as an 8 week course to better prepare us for international adoption. We are currently waiting on one piece of paper from the state that is suposed to be here by the first week of Feb. Once that is here our dossier will be turned in, translated, and then we will be in the waiting proccess!!
Our Start
I received a phone call from Jason while I was at a horse show in Bowling Green, KY. I was in the hotel room that night preparing for the devotional I would lead the next morning for Cowboy Church. Jason told me that his heart was troubled and he felt he needed to spend more time with me (he is a very hard worker and his job takes up a lot of his time). I told him that was great. I got back to work on rewriting my notes and felt this was not what the Lord wanted me to speak on, for the next hour I read and felt unsettled until I came upon the scripture. The Lord spoke to me like He was sitting there in front of me. I spoke the next morning on priorities and going where God was calling you. That night I got back home, Jason and I prayed together, we knew something was going on. The next day I received a wonderful phone call telling me that we were approved to adopt! Praise God, He had been preparing our hearts!
