Daddy's Girl

If I hadn't distracted myself by grabbing the camera, I would have stood there and cried as he was slow dancing with her singing Edwin McCain's "I'll be" to her!

These are a little out of order, but she finally had her first real bath. It took 5 weeks for her umbilical cord to fall off. She wasn't to thrilled with her bath, but I was sure happy to give her one!

And while they were slow dancing, this is how he was dancing!

And the one below was of him dancing the night before! He likes to take his nap in his underwear only and that's his usual attire when we are just hanging out at home!
Don't worry I'll post about Thanksgiving in the next day or two, I had already had this post started and figured I would post it first. But I do hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we are sure stuffed and enjoying having U. Will and A. Casey home.

A Little Bit of Life These Days...

Love this little face, I know when she's sleeping good because those arms go up over her head.

Life is slowly getting into a routine. The past two nights the little miss has gone to sleep before 1 a.m. which is the earliest she has gone to sleep for all 31 days of her life. Now I've gotten so used to going to bed at 3 that it's hard for me to go so sleep! She's staying awake a lot more during the day. Today she lasted 3 hours one stretch until she couldn't hold her eyelids open. I try hard to get her and Hudson to nap at the same time during the day, here lately it's gone well. Thankfully he still naps around 2 hours each day. I've enjoyed getting to spend more time with him and being able to be a little more active with him. We've started our afternoon walks again and it's great for us both to get out of the house. We are up to walking 20+ minutes and I'm so ready to start running and getting back on the elliptical. 2 1/2 more weeks until my appointment! Lots of people have asked me how breastfeeding is going and it's going great. Thankfully I haven't had any of the problems that a lot people have told me about.
And some great news, my best friend Mandy had a little girl this past Saturday at 1:44 a.m. Named her Grace Gillian and she was 8.3lbs and 21 in. I love that our boys are close in age and our girls are only a month apart! They didn't find out what they were having, she was convinced it was a boy and I desperately wanted her to have a girl because if I'm having fun with all the clothes, pink, etc. that comes with a girl, I know she'll have a blast! So I was thrilled when I got the text the other morning that it was a girl! I cannot wait to get to Arkansas and see them!

Professional Pics of my Cute Kids :)

I know she's mine, but isn't she adorable?

Again, I know he's mine, but he's too cute!

I love this one.
Melissa Lewis took pics of the kids last weekend and I just love them. They were going to be Christmas presents but my mom saw them alredy so I figured I'd share them with everyone. Check Melissa's website out www.lifeasalewisphotography.com

New Beds

Hollynn would not sleep in her bassinet and I didn't like it anyways, it wasn't very level. So we moved Hudson's crib into our room and he has a temporary bed in his room. We've ordered him a storage bed that should be here next week, I'm so excited because we need all the storage room we can get! It also has a bookshelf as the headboard.

Getting ready to go huntin' with Hoss. They've gone squirrel huntin' the past two Sunday afternoons and although haven't seen or killed anything, they seem to have a big time. Hudson spends his time picking up sticks and banging them on things, Dad just enjoys spending his time with Hudson.

Sweet Granny and Meemaw! Hollynn was great grandchild #15 for Granny and born 2 days after her birthday. She makes great grandchild #2 for Meemaw.

Loretta came to visit this past weekend and thinks she's going to teach Hollynn how to cheer one day, we'll have to see what Dad says about that one ;) She's gotta be a ball player with those long fingers!
I haven't talked much about the thing I was most scared of, the c section. It was so much better than I thought. I was much more relaxed than I thought I would be. Spent the whole morning praying and being excited. They ran right on time and the only time I wasn't with Jason was when they took me to the OR to get my spinal and get the room ready. It was freezing in there and I was getting nervous, so I sat there and shook while they did it. Then I went numb and they brought Jason in. They sat him right next to my head and made sure he had ate something for breakfast. They didn't want him to pass out like the guy in the OR room next to us! I told the nurse and my Dr. that I didn't want to know anything they were doing and the nurse said she was glad I said that because sometimes they say when they are making an incision, etc. So my Dr. and Jason talked about hunting (her husband hunts a lot) and I was distracted by that and we even cut up some, so it was pretty relaxed. The only thing they told me was that I would feel some pressure on my stomach, and I knew they were pushing her out, then they lifted her over the sheet and let me see her face for a split second. Jason went over to see her and take pics and I laid there and listened to her cry. The anestesiologist was at my head and saw the tears streaming down my cheeks so she stood there and wiped my face until they brought her over to me. All this in about 15 minutes. And 2 1/2 weeks later the recovery is going great. I didn't look at my incision until last week, Jason has been making sure it's okay. So the only thing that's really grossed me out is this innertube I'm carrying around! I already have my first few workouts planned and I'm counting down the days. So for now, I think c sections are great, I couldn't imagine laboring for hours and hours! And look at that sweet little thing that we got out of the deal! We were talking last night and couldn't imagine not having her!

Our Weekend

He loves being able to hold her all by himself.

Have you ever seen a cuter bear!? Those big brown eyes were just perfect for his costume!

I had a few other shirts for her that were too cute that said Baby's first Halloween but they were all too big for her. Her 0-3 month clothes are still big but she seems to really be growing so I know that won't be the case for too much longer. But these are some newborn p.j.'s mom had bought her and Hudson had the matching ones you saw above.

Saturday night was Bethelfest at church. He had a blast, this seemed to be his favorite thing. I went for about 15 minutes and brought Hudson home while Jason stayed and helped clean up. I was wore out after Sat. (we had several things going on), but I didn't want to miss his "church party" as he called it all day.
